Tom X Wolfe is a Gabon-Canadian music producer, mixing engineer, composer, and founder of Woodlum Records, operating out of Brooklyn, New York. More than a producer, he's a creative powerhouse creating eclectic musical compositions that blend his African and Caribbean heritage with contemporary sounds ranging from afrobeats and afro-fusion to alternative rock, R&B, and hip-hop.
Taking Control of the Narrative
Much like peers such as KAYTRANADA or legends like J Dilla, Tom X Wolfe embraces a producer-driven approach to music creation. In 2018, he founded Woodlum Records to take control of his creative destiny and tell his story through carefully selected songs filled with meaning and substance. The result: over 3 million streams across digital platforms, features on OkayAfrica, BET France, Trace TV, RFI, and West Side Radio, and a catalog spanning multiple continents.
Breaking Through
Tom X Wolfe's sound became notorious in Gabon and across francophone Africa through "Matrice," co-produced with Mr. Eazi for BGMFK's debut album "2417." Released as a lead single and distributed by Universal Music Africa in 2018, the track became an instant club sensation. His momentum continued with "Attention," an afro-fusion club banger featuring LuvaboyTJ (who opened on tour for Chris Brown), MickyR, and Chino Wawa. The track charted at #9 on South Africa's Top 40, proving his sound travels.

From his Brooklyn studio, Tom X Wolfe has built a catalog of over 20 records for artists across the US, Canada, France, Nigeria, and Gabon.
